+ How do you source your test participants?
We source our test participants online based on your user requirements, however if you would prefer to provide your own (if you have a more niche target demographic for example), we are happy to work with you to make this work.
+ Can you only test with a live website?
We are able to carry out tests on anything from initial sketches through to a live website. If you need a few prototypes testing for comparison for example, we are certainly able to accomodate this.
+ What are the benefits of working remotely?
We decided to run Test-42 remotely based on the following benefits:
- Environment - working remotely significantly reduces our carbon footprint
- Financial - the savings we make from removing office and commuting costs means we are able to offer more competitive prices to our customers
- Flexibility - we’re not restricted by geography, office opening hours, traffic or meeting room availability
+ What are the benefits of carrying out usability testing remotely?
Testing remotely means that we’re not limited to only finding participants locally. We can use participants from anywhere in the world with broadband. We’re also not limited by office opening hours, so participants can take part in tests at times that suit them.
+ How do you carry out usability testing remotely?
We use software to record both the screen and the webcam at the same time, as well as having two way audio, meaning we can talk to the participant and hear their feedback throughout the tests.
+ How do you report the test results and recommendations?
Although we provide a full report once all of the testing and analysis is complete, we don’t believe in waiting until the end to talk to you about what we’ve found. We’ll keep you up to date with what we’re doing and what we’ve found through the testing process.
+ How do you communicate with your customers?
We use a combination of video calls, instant messaging and file sharing tools to ensure communication is easy and effective. We have our own tools we prefer to use, but we understand that some of our customers are limited in what they can use and we’re happy to be flexible.
